Thermocasting of Paraloid B-72 workshop
Roy van der Wielen, Studio van der Wielen · Feb 2026
During this workshop we explored the possibilities of thermocasting of Paraloid B-72. Being able to make Paraloid B-72 casts is favourable over using epoxies due to the good long term stability of Paraloid B-72. This technique has largely been developed by Roy van der Wielen.
Hydrogel Workshop
Matthew Cushman, Winterthur Museum · Dec 2025
During this workshop we explored the potential of using different hydrogels for conservation applications. In addition to trying out different gels, for example Agarose and High-Acyl Gellan gels, we experimented with loading the gels with various cleaning solutions, ranging from solvents to surfactants to chelators.
